Under instruction from the internet’s dad, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, we crashed the World Wide Web’s 30th birthday to draw attention to the digital inequalities that persist across the globe.
Briefed in by Sir Tim’s non-profit organisation, The Web Foundation, this ad appeared in The Financial Times on March 12th 2019 – after being officially signed off by the man himself.
Response to the ad was so positive, The Web Foundation team asked for a follow up film that showcased their 30th anniversary celebrations and continued to inspire people to fight for a fairer digital future.
